Nightguards

Learn more about Holistic Dentistry!

Defective fillings, missing teeth, misaligned teeth, and defective crowns/bridges, along with ill-fitting removable full or partial dentures, can change your normal bite and cause you to grind your teeth while searching for a suitable resting place for your jaws. Grinding may not seem like a large problem to you, however if left untreated, it may result in more serious problems down the road (i.e., headaches, jaw, mouth, neck, face, and back pain).

We offer nightguards to patients on a case-by-case basis. They are completely metal-free and are generally made of a hard acrylic material, to prevent tooth wear, chipping and jaw pain. We recommend nightguards for people who suffer from bruxism (habitual tooth grinding). Please ask us about this non-invasive procedure, but keep in mind that like any dental work, you may need a follow up appointment for adjustments.
